I have said it before and I will say it again. Long distance relationships were not build to last. The cement of the relationship i.e. trust, often cracks. Then its paint peels off. Eventually, the whole thing usually crumbles likes a house of cards. Distance (and time apart) has a way of making these things lose taste. Note: I am talking about girlfriends-boyfriends type of situation; marriage is another kettle of fish.
Nonetheless, I know this because I have seen my very close friends suffer in this, uhm, situation. Distance here means physical distance. The only long distance relationships I have are the metaphysical kind. Like when a spouse dies or goes into a comma, or with my wife (who is in the future). When they are so close yet so far.
But that’s just me. What do you think? Listen to what Abi and Onyi have to say about this and other matters like the Shame of Africa that has been Kenya Airways, Open Relationships, MPs pay increase among others on Y_DoWeDoIt Episode 9.
